Olivia Wilde lived out every girl's dream when, at 18, she fell in love and married an Italian prince. But, eight years after Wilde and Tao Ruspoli rode off into the sunset, their fairytale came to to an unhappy end and the couple split this past March.
"The trauma of the whole thing has been humbling, and for the first time, I'm a little bit wobbly," the former House star tells the new issue of Marie Claire. "But I think it's very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person."
Despite their split, Wilde says she and her ex have managed to stay on good terms. "Even though it didn't work, there's nothing I regret about any of it," she says. "We're friends; his family is my family."
As for the rumors that she's hooked up with everyone from Ryan Gosling to Bradley Cooper to Justin Timberlake, well, she says rumors are all that they are. In addition, all the speculation about her love life is actually keeping her from getting anywhere in the romance department!
"It makes dating harder," she insists. "You go on one date and everyone thinks you're dating."
